Belinda LaForce Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Mrs. LaForce is a mayor with 34 years of civil service experience

SEARCY, AR, December 15, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Belinda LaForce, Mayor of the City of Searcy, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in municipal management.

With 34 years of public service experience, Mrs. LaForce's expertise is in internal city administration. As mayor, she works alongside five other mayors of Searcy. Her position demands that she manage 14 departments, including public safety, sanitation, airport, streets and the library. She is also responsible for overseeing the 22,000 city residents and a yearly budget of $16 million. Additionally, Mrs. LaForce is a professional community and economic developer. She attributes her success to her integrity, honesty and personal nature as a public servant.

In 1975, Mrs. LaForce graduated from Searcy High School. She is a certified Professional Community and Economic Developer and a member of Searcy Rotary Club. Mrs. LaForce is also affiliated with the Arkansas Municipal League and the National Association of Professional Women. She was a finalist for the National League of Cities Leadership Award for Women in Municipal Government. In her spare time she serves as a mentor in the Lifting Leaders: Southern Women in Public Service Program, which inspires and supports young women in pursuing careers in public service. She aspires to run for re-election and is considering running to become a state representative.
