Tea Party Makes Entry in Transition Period
Four members of the newly-appointed House Republican transition team are members of the Tea Party or were backed by Sarah Palin in their election campaigns.

November 15, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Four members of the newly-appointed House Republican transition team are members of the Tea Party or were backed by Sarah Palin in their election campaigns.

With a victory of almost 60 seats in last week's midterm elections, Republicans are recognizing the support of the Tea Party movement as critical to their victories. In one of the more daring Tea Party moves yet, Michele Bachmann of Minnesota has entered into a battle for the fourth leadership position in the new House of Representatives, despite being on the job for only two terms.

New members to the transition team from the Tea Party movement include Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, Martha Roby of Alabama, Cory Gardner of Colorado and Tim Scott, who is the first black Republican elected from South Carolina since Reconstruction.
