Speaker Pelosi Asks for Credit for Democratic Accomplishments
In an attempt to retain control of the House, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is touting all of the accomplishments of the Democratic Congress.
November 02, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In an attempt to retain control of the House, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is touting all of the accomplishments of the Democratic Congress.
Believing that American has not given enough credit to Congress, Pelosi blames the millions of opposition dollars being poured into the media for the "mischaracterization" of her party's recent accomplishments.
The Speaker borrowed from House Majority Leader Harry Reid's comments last week, which stated that Democrats biggest failure during this election was to not adequately sell their legislative victories.
Pelosi remarked in a recent interview that the large number of attack ads on Congress were a sign of Democratic "effectiveness," and she believed that the gap between the GOP leads in the polls were closing. Suffering attacks from Republicans and conservative Democrats alike, the Speaker defended her polices and called herself a "proud San Francisco Liberal."
