Kevin Ashley Unter, Ph.D. Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Political Science Research and Education
Political Science Specialist and Research Fellow at the University of Louisiana at Monroe

MONROE, LA, December 14, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kevin Ashley Unter, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of political science research and education.

Dr. Unter has 14 years of professional experience in the field of political science and specializes in the areas of constitutional and criminal law, civil liberties and policing. As the head of the Gerontology, Sociology and Political Science Department at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, he is responsible for teaching political science courses, conducting research, managing solicitations for grant proposals, and fundraising. With a particular interest in public law, judicial politics, administrative and criminal law, public opinion and polling, and quantitative research methods, Dr. Unter was proudly appointed as research fellow for the Social Science Research Laboratory at ULM. He notes that an innate interest in teaching prompted him to enter into his profession and attributes his success to his decision making skills and helpful nature.

A graduate of the University of New Orleans, Dr. Unter received his Ph.D. in Political Science in 2007. He earned his Master of Arts in Political Science and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Colorado State University in 1992 and 1990 respectively. Faculty advisor for the ULM Pre-Law Association, he is a member of the Louisiana Political Science Association, the Southern Political Science Association and the American Political Science Association. Dr. Unter aspires to become a full-time faculty member at ULM and conduct more research in the future.
