Women In Action For Obama
If Not Now - When??
/Politics News Articles/ - CHARLESTON, WV, February 17, 2008 — Recently, a group of American black women got together to discuss the importance of supporting the best candidate for president of the United States. After reviewing the debates, speeches and considering the positions of each candidate, the group decided to launch a nationwide support campaign for Senator Barack Obama. The Women In Action For Obama was formed to support his candidacy.
The group, who were originally composed of women with origins from West Virginia has reached out nationwide for inclusion of all segments of the population and now consists of blacks, Latinos, whites, Puerto Ricans, veterans, men, young and the elderly.
The fact that the group consisted of women was a major consideration; in the end, Women In Action For Obama decided that the decision should be based upon what they believe to be in the best interest of America as a whole.
Women In Action For Obama are an inclusive group and will actively work with all individuals and groups to provide informative education of the issues, work campaign sites, and do what ever is needed to support Senator Obama for President.
